Surf n' Ink Tattoo Hygiene Policy

Whether you visit our Helensvale, Surfers Paradise, or Bali studio, your health and safety remain our priority. We follow strict hygiene and infection control procedures across every Surf n' Ink location, ensuring a clean, safe, and professional environment for every client.

Our Studios

At Surf n’ Ink, maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace is part of our daily routine. Every studio undergoes regular cleaning and safety checks to meet high industry standards. Our modern studio layout allows for efficient cleaning throughout the day, helping us maintain a comfortable environment for both clients and artists. All of our licensed artists and team members are trained to follow established hygiene practices and safety protocols during every tattoo session.

Hygiene Procedures

We apply consistent hygiene procedures across all Surf n’ Ink studios to help ensure every tattoo is completed safely. Before tattooing begins, the treatment area—including chairs, benches, and work surfaces—is thoroughly cleaned and prepared with fresh protective coverings. The skin is cleansed using a medical-grade antiseptic solution before the tattoo process starts. To minimise the risk of cross-contamination, inks are poured into single-use ink caps for each client. Our artists also use sterile, single-use applicators and open all sealed equipment in front of the client immediately before the procedure begins.

Cleaning Standards

Cleanliness is an essential part of the Surf n’ Ink experience. Our studios are professionally cleaned every day, with all tattoo stations sanitised between appointments using medical-grade disinfectants. We follow detailed cleaning procedures to ensure hygiene standards are consistently maintained throughout the day. Personal hygiene is equally important. Our artists wash and sanitise their hands before and after every appointment, wear fresh disposable gloves during each procedure, and use single-use needles, disposable ink caps, and fresh ink for every client. These practices help us maintain a safe, hygienic, and professional tattoo environment.
