Surf n’ Ink - Tattoo Hygiene Policy

Be it in the Helensvale or Surfers Paradise studio, our clients can rest assured that we follow the industry’s best safety and hygiene standards in our workplaces.

Our Studios

Surf n’ Ink ensures that our studios follow the highest safety and hygienic standard checks daily. This creates a safe and clean environment giving peace of mind to our clients. The design of the studios makes cleaning throughout the day very easy. Our artists and staff value the importance of hygiene, are licensed and follow safety practices rigorously in our premises.

Hygiene Procedures

At Surf n’ Ink studios, we make sure that all our locations follow the highest standards. We clean the treatment area thoroughly, including benches, chairs and use clean covers over the area where artists tattoo. We use medical-grade antiseptic skin lotion to clean the skin prior to tattoo placement. In order to eliminate the possibilities of cross-contamination, inks are placed in single-use containers. Our artists use single-use applicators for every client and break the sterile packaging right before the treatment in front of the client.

Cleaning Standards

Surf n’ Ink takes pride when it comes to the cleanliness of our studios. We have a dedicated staff to clean them thoroughly every day and between visits of every client using a medical-grade sanitising spray. We implement comprehensive cleaning procedures to ensure that the guidelines are strictly followed. We also give utmost importance to the personal hygiene of our artists. Our artists use single-use gloves while tattooing and sanitise their hands before and after meeting with a client. Our artists also use single-use needles and new ink caps with disposable inks.
